Seven Months Old Today

Henry turns 7 months old today. I cannot believe that 7 months ago I was actually without him. My how time has flown by!

I was remembering this morning how we finally got to meet him, and how long it seemed we had been waiting. I remember that I was shopping at Nordstrom with Natalie and getting ready to have lunch with my mom when I just knew. I remember that my silly husband was out drinking beer at lunch with his work buddies and didn't have his cell phone and didn't believe that I was actually in labor for real :) I remember how frustrated Bryan got when we checked into the hospital and it took forever until we got a nurse. I remember walking up and down the halls at Rose and trying to think about anything but the contractions. I remember how long it took for him to be born after they said "just one more push".

What I don't remember is how much it hurt, how tired I was or why I was so tired of being pregnant. I can hardly remember how small he was (as I was reminded this last week when we saw our friend Suzanne's daughter).

We wouldn't give Henry back for anything in the world, he has changed so much in the last months- he went from being a cranky baby with colic and reflux to a happy (well happier), crawling, loves his food, little man.

Love you baby boy!
